Free School Meals
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive a hot school meal, free of charge, every day.
If you receive certain benefits, or have been entitled to free school meals in the past 6 years, the school might be able to receive additional funding to support your child’s education (Pupil Premium) and you might be entitled to free school meals for children in Key Stage 2. Even if your child is in Reception or KS1 it is important that you still apply for free school meals in order for the school to receive Pupil Premium.

If you wish your child to have milk you need to register with Cool Milk, either online or by post. Children under five receive free milk, as do children entitled to free school meals – but parents still need to register with Cool Milk for this to happen. If you have any questions about school milk please visit www.coolmilk.com or by phone 0800 1422972 or speak with Mrs Spriggs in the school office.
Drinks other than water are no longer allowed as part of a countrywide move towards healthier diets. Water bottles can be brought in from home as long as they are clearly marked with the child’s name. Water bottles are available to purchase from the School Office for 50p.
Healthy eating is part of a healthy education – children in the Nursery and Reception classes, Y1 and Y2 all receive free fruit in school.
In KS1 and KS2 are allowed to bring their own fruit to eat at morning playtime. ONLY FRUIT IS ALLOWED. Fruit is available to purchase from the school fruit Tuck Shop. Each item costs 10p each.
