It’s been a really cold week so far. We like all children to get some fresh air, and get the chance to run about at break and lunchtime – so it is espcially important that children bring a warm coat to school with them every day – and a hat, scarf and gloves too, if they have them.
If we get very heavy snow at any point we may need to consider closing the school for a day. This doesn’t happen very often, and is based on many things that I have to take into account such as local conditions, whether I have enough staff who are able to get to school and whether we can provide lunches. This means that any decision is made early in the morning.
If we have very heavy snow you can find out whether the school is closed by doing the following
