Happy Christmas!

It was wonderful to see so many parents and friends at our KS2 performance of “What Christmas means to me”. Well done to the children and staff. Thank you also to the Foundation children who provided the “Ah” factor as a traditional Christmas tableau.

KS1 get their turn to perform on Friday morning when they lead our Christmas assembly. You are very welcome to join us in the Community Hall at 9.15am

Don’t forget to listen to Radio Leicester at 12.10 today (Wednesday 17th) to hear our wonderful year 2 children sining the traditional carol “God rest you, merry gentlemen!” which was recorded recently as part of our Diosing project. Well done also to Candy who won the prize to design the sleeve for the CD of all the radio Leicester Advent carols. We are really proud of all the children’s efforts.

Tomorrow afternoon children will be having parties in school. You are invited to send contributions of snack foods and drinks if you wish for children to share in their classes. Although we expect all children to wear school uniform as normal in the morning, they can bring something more ‘party-like’ to change into in the afternoon.

School closes for a two week break on Friday 19th December. We re-open for children at 8.50am on Tuesday 6th January.

Attendance prizes for the Autumn term will be awarded during assembly on Monday 12th January, and I will be sending letters home to all parents to let you know your own child’s attendance for the autumn term that week.

Finally, if you are celebrating, I hope you have a very Happy Christmas, and I wish you peace and good health for the New Year!
