It has been a very long and very busy term;
both the staff and children deserve a break. School closes today at 3.20pm and reopens for the children on Tuesday 5th January at 8.50am. That gives two weeks and one day of holiday time.
Thankyou to everyone who joined us for Key Stage 1’s wonderful Christmas performance yesterday. It was fantastic to have so many parents and friends sharing this event.
On Wednesday a group of children took gifts to children in hospital, and then visited elderly residents in Clarendon Mews, singing Christmas songs and giving presents. Thankyou to all of you that donated items. We had so much to give, we needed a van! Your generosity is very much appreciated.
Yesterday afternoon was party time for the children; Lots of fun and games, food and prizes.
Today it is the turn of Key Stage 2 with the help of Reception children to lead our Christmas Assembly this morning. Parents are welcome to join us. We also have Commando Joe bringing the inflatable assault course as an end of term treat.
Don’t forget we also have Christmas Jumper Fundraising day and cake sale today. Wear a Christmas jumper and donate £1. Cakes are on sale at breaktime. Donations of cake would be very welcome.
If you and your family are celebrating, then I wish you a very Happy Christmas, and to all our school family a peaceful and happy New Year.
